Both are of the 1854 model fallbeil in Plotzensee. One is taken from a slightly different angle and possibly a different time. I believe both show the fallbeil after it was damaged from Allied bombing Sept. 3-4. 1943. The first photo however has been identified by the Plotzensee Memorial Center as having been taken in May, 1945 when the prison fell to the Soviets but I think this is incorrect. Note the ceiling damage and fire damage to the fallbeil. This matches the published reports by the Reich Ministry of Justice. Excellent photos. The top one is well-known. The other one is new to me.

BTW the position of the blade in both photos is different
